I manage all components of multiple laboratory and government construction projects for Rockwell Collins. These projects include construction of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), which require a unique development and project management approach to ensure uniform security measures and building criteria are met. I led construction of an $8M, 30K sq. ft. expansion of a flight simulator building. I ensure ICD 705 regulations are addressed throughout the construction process and work with the customer’s authorized agent for signoff. I interact with local and regional municipalities and authorities on various environmental, construction and code enforcement issues.

I manage all construction efforts for the demolition, site preparation, utility work and extensive renovation of a $6M, 30K sq. ft. shopping center with 5 retail tenants, including a 5K sq. ft. healthcare facility and 4 restaurants. I collaborate with project architects, engineers, designers and tenant representatives to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. I also managed construction efforts with sub-contractors for a $6M shopping center project and coordinated $8M in tenant improvements. With every project, I work with government representatives to ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements.

Coordinating all elements of a $10M site development for a 60K sq. ft., $16M theater project, I led efforts to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. In addition to supervising the field office and managing all inspections, permits and testing, I scheduled and managed subcontractors, ensuring timely completion. I also reviewed engineering specifications and collaborated on resolution of any issues that arose during the project.

Serving as Project Manager, I oversaw and directed daily construction operations for a $4M conversion project to renovate and modernize a 50K sq. ft. warehouse facility into a warehouse and distribution center for a national retailer in the automotive parts industry. I courted an additional $15M worth of work outside the prime contract. Utilizing my leadership skills and construction knowledge, I interpreted blueprints, secured pricing, developed estimates, resolved issues and approved job order changes, while also selecting and supervising 20+ subcontractors.

I joined this out-of-ground construction project to oversee day-to-day operations for the completion of a $2M, 10K sq. ft. retail plaza. I played a primary role in estimating, developing schedules, defining scope of work and directly extensive site preparation. Responsible for the overall structure of the project, I selected, scheduled and supervised subcontractors for site preparation and managed up to 10 on-site contractors through project completion.

I worked as a general sub-contractor for commercial and residential construction projects of varying sizes.

I managed 4 projects of varying scope and complexity, with many occurring simultaneously. I was an Estimator and Project Manager for a 40-acre multi-use commercial development, Project Manager for a $2M senior citizen community center and a $2M secure government manufacturing facility, and as Superintendent for a $2M shopping center with significant site preparation. In each of these roles, I managed structural compliance and contractor selection and performance to ensure completion of required changes and coordination of work among various parties and entities,

I managed all aspects of renovation projects for a national credit union in 3 states, each of which was $3-4M. My role included meeting budgets, setting and maintaining timetables, creating materials estimations and developing and overseeing labor schedules. The projects included specialized and extensive millwork and equipment repairs specific to financial institution construction.
