    Selected after a rigorous workshop and testing process from a pool of 80 Banking Advisers in the area for a place on the Financial Adviser (FA) pathway within Halifax Bancassurance. The course would normally involve extra-curricular study to attain the Certificate for Financial Advisers over a 6-8 month period, after which time I would be able to apply for a position as a Financial Adviser. I was informed however that as an outstanding candidate, I was to attend a fast-track programme to achieve the CeFA qualification within 2 months with a guaranteed FA role. A programme only 10 candidates out of the country are selected for annually. I went on to attain Competent Adviser Status and provide comprehensive financial advice on sophisticated Protection and Investment products from Scottish Widows to high net worth clients. • As a Bancassurance colleague, whilst still working in branch I was no longer part of the branch network and was managed remotely, requiring self-drive and the ability to work independently.• As a referred-to business creating great branch relationships was vital and the ability to liaise with and work alongside the Branch Manager as part of the Branch Management Team was a key factor in my success. Ran weekly team management meetings to increase referrals which resulted in becoming the most referred-to adviser in the area in 2011, with the greatest amount of branch leads.• Carried out a complete overhaul of the existing Liverpool business retention strategy. Successfully improving the team’s policy lapse figures from 6th in the Region to 2nd over a 6 month period.• Acted as Liverpool’s “Bright Spark” representative. A role given to one member of each area. Duties involved; attending bi-annual conferences to share colleague ideas on product development, organising the teams annual Charity Volunteering day, meeting with partners such as Scottish Widows to improve business to business advocacy.
