I reported to the owner and CEO and was responsible for the management of the $20 million p.a. sport, nursery and toys division. I had seven direct reports (three product managers, an inventory planner, graphic designer and two sales managers). I kept my ear to the ground for new, popular product additions by liaising closely with planners and product managers at Disney, Mattel and other prominent trend developers like E-One and Haven to select and procure licences in advance of release, giving time to develop and manufacture in time for global release. I was heavily involved in the sales process, identifying target customers and influencing them to take on products and invest in prominent display and shelf space to optimise sales.Some highlights and achievements were:Won Product Innovation Awards from Disney and Mattel.Secured rights for and sold more than 1.2 million Disney Light Up Balls.Consistently increased turnover every year, growing sales more than 500% over term in this role.

I managed a Greenfield startup from the ground up, including recruitment, setting up in new premises, budgeting , planning, sales and inventory management.Won ATA Craft Product of the Year in first year of trading.Grew turnover to $3 million p.a.

Achieved targets every year.Launched and sold two million Tamagotchi toys after negotiating exclusive Australian rights with Bandai in Japan.Developed and distributed Bananas in Pyjamas pre-school toys for domestic and international markets.

Developed, contracted manufacturing and launched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Australia increasing annual revenue eightfold in that year.
