I played a key role in the development and execution of the new strategy. The first education course, Professional Banking Fundamentals was launched on time in March 2018.The Board tasked me with reducing the cost base of the Institute to improve the bottom line. In less than twelve months my initiatives had reduced the cost base of the Institute by over $1.5 million or 25%. A medium sized company with private equity ownership, employing more than 300 staff.As Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary, reporting to the CEO, I was responsible for Finance and oversaw the outsourced IT function. My responsibilities included M&A, board reporting and attendance at board meetings, financial reporting, tax, strategy, budgeting and forecasting, treasury, legal (review and negotiation of key contracts), credit management, property, presentations to bankers, corporate governance and company secretarial matters.At Recovre, I used my vast experience and commercial acumen to transform the business into a profitable operation, significantly enhancing the value of the group. I negotiated more favourable supplier contracts and lifted back office and administrative productivity by implementing new systems and processes, resulting in a marked reduction in costs. I played a crucial role in lifting the staff engagement score for my Finance team, despite headcount reductions. On achieving the substantial improvement in the financial performance, the Group was marketed for sale. I played a key role in the successful sale of the main operating subsidiary in March 2015, along with the sale of the Medico-Legal Opinions business in October 2014. Premium prices were achieved for both. -

My key responsibilities included: M&A, ASX and financial reporting, tax, strategy and budgeting, corporate governance, treasury management, board reporting and attendance at board meetings, presentations to the group banker, credit management, payroll, regulatory compliance, insurances and company secretarial matters.In the face of the global financial crisis, I used my commercial acumen to navigate the Group through this difficult period.
