My role is to provide IT services at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, North Queensland. I am tasked with pre-event testing of network terminals (including the VIP desk), ticket printers and hand scanners - integrated with the cloud for a 99.95% service level when gates are open. Other tasks include troubleshooting turnstiles and point-of-service (EFTPOS) devices, and support of ticketing staff.

In my role as Councillor, I drove innovation through explicit recommendations, providing Councillors with cutting-edge communication tools for monitoring critical information. I improved relations between Council, rate payers and the general public, influenced successful transformations of corporate and operational strategies, introduced initiatives to improve the local economy, and continued my journey of life-long learning. In both terms of local government tenure, I provided strong leadership by chairing the following committees; Assets Sustainability, Delivery Services, Traffic Safety, LAWMAC, Planning and Environmental Services and Waste Management.

As Coordinator for the Cardwell Bush Telegraph Heritage Center I was responsible for restoring artefacts following Cyclone Yasi. Other duties included providing historic and cultural information to visitors, coordinating exhibit rotations with the Queensland Museum, broadening the volunteer base and digitizing exhibits.

As the proprietor of the company, I provided consultation and training to members of the community along with pro-bono advice to Rockingham Home, Cardwell RSL and Meals On Wheels. I was also a contractor for JAV IT, providing IT support to NAB branches in Far North Queensland. Other services provided included IT Sales and Service, Community Training Programs, Hardware and Software Troubleshooting, Network Design and Support, Web Design, CCTV and EFTPOS Integration.

In this role I spearheaded the original concept, researching prior art and coordinating with Cutler & Company, PriceWaterhouseCooper and Cullen & Co. to develop the Business Plan and submit the Patent Application. (Letters Patent No. 2002214841). I was tasked with R&D, Equipment Procurement, Technical Documentation, Systems Integration, Platform Design, Intellectual Property Development and Management, Field Demonstrations and Workshop Planning.

I was a consultant and successful reseller for Alphacom, Inc., products ie. CDPD Wireless Modems and VMSK Software to Corporations, and SMEs in the USA and Canada. My responsibilities included; Wireless Hardware Sales and Service, Software Testing, Sales Analysis, Dealer Network Development and CRM.

In my time with this company, I co-developed software to analyse hull performance of a patented hull form, in conjunction with the US Navy and Stellenbosch University, South Africa. I was also a Marine Broker, working in conjunction with a network of international Ship Builders and Naval Architects. My tasks included; Data Analysis, Software Development, Database Design and Management, Web Site Design and Management, Commercial Vessel Broking and Customer Relationship Management.

As a contractor for Silkline International, I managed procurement and installation of Merlin High Performance Marine Diesel Engines, Twin Disc Gearboxes and Arneson Surface Drives for high speed military and commercial craft. My brief included Dyno Engine Testing, Hull and Propeller Performance Analysis, Technical Documentation, Vessel Sea Trials and Commissioning.

Broadwater Craft manufactured innovative Australian small ships, constructed from both aluminium and composite materials. As the Technical Sales Engineer, I guided customers through the design process and liaised with them during vessel construction phases. I delivered and commissioned a number of high performance vessels for government agencies based in Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia with a high level of customer satisfaction, including an Aluminium/FRP Fast Barge that reached speeds of 40+ knots.

Arneson Marine Inc. manufactures High Performance Marine Propulsion Systems for Commercial Vessels, Offshore Powerboats and Pleasure Craft, with it's head office in Corte Madera, California, USA. My responsibilities included Sales and Service, Customer Relationship Management, Dealer Development and Support, Exhibit Planning and Management, Propulsion Design Analysis, Propeller Selection Software Development, Logistics Support, Sea Trials and Commissioning. Arneson Marine (Aust) Pty. Ltd. was also distributors of the MicroCommander Electronic Engine Control System - the world's first electronic controller for mechanical throttle and shift applications, incorporating up to 5 Vessel Control Stations.

Our family owned and operated two franchise stores, which innovated many of the North American systems for the local market, including introducing the first drive-thru service in Australia. My duties and Store Manager included Staff Recruitment and Training, Rosters, Payroll, Cash Management, Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, Front of House Management, POS Systems Development, Transaction and Statistical Analysis. Under my management, both restaurants received multiple awards for Best in Class Service, Store Presentation, and for breaking sales records.
