Throughout my professional career, I have sought to innovate existing systems with emerging technology, in Restaurant Operations, High Performance Marine Engineering, and in Information Technology and Communications Systems. As an inherent skill, I continually seek out cutting edge technologies, as exemplified by patenting a Satellite Broadband System that incorporated a Wireless Last Mile solution, even before 802.11 (WiFi) was brought into the mainstream.I have continually sought out systems and methods to benefit society and the environment, increasing intrinsic efficiencies and reducing operating costs. I have over 30 years experience working within a variety of industries, having expertise in designing, deploying, testing and troubleshooting innovative applications. My current full time position is with the leading A/V integration company in Townsville, Queensland as an Operational Support Officer, providing after-sales services, troubleshooting, and pre-deployment configuration of various A/V platforms.My position as a Technology Support Specialist at Queensland Country Bank Stadium ensures entries and exits from events by patrons are efficient and safe. Other tasks include troubleshooting device faults, and supporting the ticketing and operations staff. I was a two-term Local Government Councillor and was an active volunteer in my home town of Cardwell for many years (Australian Volunteer Coast Guard, Lions, Meals on Wheels and Rockingham Home), and I hope to make a valued contribution of my time and skills within my new domicile - Townsville.I enjoy spending my spare time with my extended family, catching up with my life-long friends around the world via social media, investigating emerging technologies, and researching hidden facts about early Australian history.I thank God every day for blessing me with an incredible family, and the extraordinary life he has bestowed upon me.
