As is the case with many non-profit organizations, my current role as Director, Partnerships with the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology enables me to expand my skills and provide my organization with leadership in many related areas: I am in charge of public and media relations, business development, industry relations, and sponsor program management. I have organized large-scale consensus conferences, developed patient and physician education programs, and worked closely with the CEO and board of directors on numerous projects and presentations. Prior to making the move to the non-profit sector in 2012, I earned more than two decades of experience managing results-oriented television marketing departments - part of the team that launched one of the country's first television station duopolies as Creative Services Director for WTLV/WJXX First Coast News in Jacksonville, FL - and Promotion Manager at the NBC-owned WTLV-4 (now NBC6) in Miami. Supervising a staff of between 4 and 9 writer/producers and graphic artists, I had oversight or direct involvement in writing, field and studio production, editing and sound design, media buying, ad design, public, and media relations. I've written and produced, or provided oversight for thousands of daily spots and scores of image/branding promotions, organized satellite media tours, developed long-form print and online publications, and designed outdoor, print and online ad campaigns. I've managed million-dollar-plus outside media budgets as well as smaller, more concentrated ones.
