Created business plan, projections, and negotiated with angel investors for company launch. After launch, helped the company to manage its rapid growth from 2 ambulances to more than 60 ambulances operating throughout the Chicago area in 17 years. Later negotiated the buyout of the angel investors’ 60% interest, including LBO type bank and mezzanine financing, earning those investors more than 10 times their original investment.This company is now the second largest in its market.

Built and managed an Illinois domiciled integrated insurance holding company with multiple operating subsidiaries, including Apollo Casualty Company and Delphi Casualty Company, underwriting $40M annually in non-standard automobile insurance in Illinois. Carriers and distribution affiliates sold, retained commercial finance subsidiary which became AGH Commercial Finance.Currently active in providing debt and equity capital for entrepreneurs.

Recruited to the Board, then assigned to join Compensation Committee and Restructuring Committee providing guidance to company losing share, money, and direction. -Identified that the demands of the business had outgrown the capabilities of the founders. -Proposed a private company buyout which galvanized the existing Board to solicit proposals to purchase control of the $50MM company from the company’s founders. -Within one year, another Board member purchased control of the company including all of the founders’ interests. The following year he took the company private, resulting in regained market share and profitability.

Acquired, developed, financed, managed, and syndicated 57 properties, primarily multi-family housing, in 17 states, then valued at $400MM+. Together with a partner, organized and raised capital for partnerships that acquired, owned, and operated these properties in the eastern half of the U.S. Raised over $100MM in equity.
