I welcome prospective students and their family members as they enter the Admissions office. I take care of the comfort of the prospective students, help fill out forms, make folders filled with information, assist people who need direction on campus, and many more miscellaneous duties. I also welcome any visitor to Anderson University in the Welcome Center office and direct them wherever they need to go. Lastly, I also give campus tours as well as tours around the Interior Design department to prospective students and their family members. This job has pushed my communication skills.

I rotated between housekeeping, cleaning dishes, and waiting tables every week. With housekeeping, we cleaned and maintained ten lodge rooms and for teen cabins during the week. We were responsible for deep cleaning, towel changes, refilling supplies, and turning over cabins after our guests had left the hotel. During room and cabin turnovers, kitchens and bathrooms were scrubbed clean, more supplies such as dish soap was issued out, exchanged dirty linens and towels for clean ones, dusted, and made sure that the space was acceptable and clean for the next guest to stay there. In the kitchen, I cleaned dishes through a commercial dishwasher, washed large cooking pots and dishes, and performed various chores to keep the kitchen clean and in good condition. When I worked in the dining room, I was responsible for cleaning up the past meal, placing correct table settings, and serving the guests their meal in a proper and time sensitive fashion. I was also responsible to be present and active in other ranch activities such as the Skit Night, the Square Dance, the Deck Lunch, and the Wrangler's breakfast. I was working from about 7 a.m. to about 9 p.m. with a few, various breaks in between.

As a Cashier, I took people's food orders, entered them into the cash register, and placed the order to be filled. I also made many drinks for the consumers, took down names on the waiting list, and took to-go orders in the restaurant or over the phone.

Anderson, Sc

I assisted in the organization and distribution in the store; where women can buy baby clothes by using their "points" they earned by going to certain events. I also placed paper work and files in the correct location. I answered at the front desk for new clients and clientele questions over the phone. I also kept anywhere from four to twelve children whose moms were engaged in the Center's activities and could not be with their children. I helped in other various ways such as picking up the food and drinks for the ladies in the Center's Bible study. I worked two days a week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Weaverville, Nc

My responsibilities included cleaning cabins with my team while campers were away doing activities. We also cleaned the club room, the office, the dining room, the Young Life store, and our own living facilities. I also spent time helping the "laundry ladies" perform the duties of doing laundry for all sheets and towels and clothing of permanent staff.
