Part of Macquarie’s technology divisions Leadership team, and leader of the global Unix engineering group across Sydney and Manila and working with the support teams across the organisations business units which spanned the globe.Leading financial management of an operational budget exceeding $35M for the Unix discipline, including financial analysis and compliance with budgetary guidance across the business units on both monthly and annual basis. Extensive management of technology vendors.Introduced consistent engineering standards to the organisation and addressed many long term support and contractual issues with vendors. Resulting in a long term reduction in operational costs and identification of organisational wastage.

This was a concurrent secondary role to my "Manager Platform Architecture and Engineering" role at BigPond.

The role continued to expand and development of products to support the interchange needs of a broader credit union base were conceptualised and created in conjunction with these credit unions. Working with the credit union stakeholders product was developed that not only reduced their costs, but achieved faster funds transfers to members as well as reducing personal risk to credit union employees by eliminating the need to arrive at their office in the early hours of the morning.I assisted other technology areas within CUSCL to achieve their diverse business goals, with the majority of these being non-functional such as achieving a “…initiative that will give us a significant marketing opportunity, Well Done! – Head of Product Development”.Achieved ISO 9002 quality certification for the network services group, the first department within CUSCAL to achieve this certification.
