Manage the daily operations of the Hopkins MN. plant reporting to the company president located in the Lincolnton, North Carolina facility. Responsible for smooth operation of all equipment and 25 employees running 2 shifts of manufacturing.

Ran the daily operations of New Hope Machining and distribution plant meeting daily schedules and seeing to it that the equipment was kept in operating condition at all times. Was brought in by the V. P. of Operations in Chicago IL. to work with the Union staff to help return the plant to profitability. The ISO-9001-2015 certified plant closed on September 30, 2019 as Tool Steel sales were being dropped from the materials portfolio, and the building owner was selling the property and required the property be vacated. Through the use of Kaizan events, the entire work flow was streamlined to simplify and ease finished goods movement to the shipping area, and left over product movement back into stock to contain an out of control inventory. The lead time for shipping product was brought from 5 days down to 1-2 days depending on plate size required. Conducted group trainings and Safety meetings weekly and monthly to ensure the employees never became complacent when it came to safety. The plant is now at 2368 days since the last lost time injury. After many improvement initiatives the benchmark rate of "Square Inches Cut Per Man-Hour" went from 33" to 60", an 81% increase. Customer claims were reduced from 84 in 2012 to just 5 in 2018. Administered employee annual reviews, and all disciplinary actions.

Administered the ISO-9000 program, computer operations, managed the container repair department and all warehouse operations. *Oversaw Container Repair production operations for 5 years as well as managing the warehouse and quality operations. GLENN WIRTH-Page 2 *Designed and drove installation of 380 foot conveyor system between the processing department and the warehouse which led to a $22,000 per year reduction in forklift requirements. *Attained lead auditor certification for ISO certification programs to perform duties required for annual maintenance. Administered ongoing ISO program for the site, monitoring and documenting the quality program for the last 5 years. *Removed obsolete pallet gravity rack from the processing area and created space to reorganize the Processing Department layout which led to the reduction of headcount savings of $40,000. *In an attempt to reduce annual gas costs, sought out competitive bids from new vendors which resulted in an annual reduction of costs of 20% from current vendor for propane charges. *Competently managed multiple departments including Quality/Data, IT, manufacturing and shipping/receiving.
