Prior to this venture, I founded Taylor James in 1999, which grew into an award-winning marketing production powerhouse. During my 22-year tenure there, I led a team that delivered global marketing visions for numerous Fortune 500 companies. As a strategic leader and pioneer of integrated production, I have always been at the forefront of disrupting the marketing industry and pushing production capabilities to be more creative and efficient.With 30 years industry experience, as a creative director and a strategic business leader, some of my highlights include the successful sale of Taylor James into Tag Worldwide. Staying for 3 years to successfully integrate the team into corporate ownership and delivering double revenue and 5x ebitda growth. In 2021, I founded G Taylor Consulting to share my strategic business planning, creative problem-solving, and data-driven approach with other entrepreneurial organizations. Taylor James established a reputation for obsessive attention to detail, new methodologies and brought intense photo-realism to every image.Glen strategically led the growth of the business by offering highly creative, time efficient and process -driven marketing whilst integrating multi-disciplines to produce innovative work across multi-channel content. Recognizing the efficiencies of end-to-end production for increased creativity, cost efficiencies and brand guardianship, Glen expanded Taylor James’ CGI, Live-action, Design and animation departments and relaunched in 2007 as a ‘Creative Production Studio’. He strove to challenge conventional thinking by bringing new production philosophies to traditional advertising agencies.In 2012, Glen left London to establish a second office in New York City. His mission was to build an innovative studio focused on these new principals of integrated production. As CEO, he put in place key business strategies to build a full-service production house that combined new workflows and allowed creativity to flourish. NYC was key to establishing a company culture of creative innovation, teamwork and solutions focused problem-solving. Together the two offices developed key production workflows and pipeline efficiencies to support each other’s scheduling downtimes focusing on EMEA and N. America.Revenue and profit grew year on year, and in 2014 the process of preparing the business for acquisition began. Founder & MdTaylor James Ltd Aug 2018 - Oct 2021New York, New York, UsFollowing the sale of Taylor James to Williams Lea Tag, Glen joined the WLT of The Americas and became Managing Director of Taylor James globally.Additionally, Glen was tasked with reinvigorating Smoke and Mirrors’ US operation. He undertook a complete restructure of S&M and integrated both TJ and S&M into their new corporate climate and ownership. This helped the previously ailing division to show profit in the first 9 months.During this period, Glen also implemented a huge expansion to establish off-shore capabilities. He managed full-service production pipelines for the WLT group whilst simultaneously growing the network of TJ offices to bring together 5 offices (LA, Mex, NYC, Lon, Paris) under one consistent global group workflow and reporting lines. Looking to the future, Glen established an ‘Emerging Technology dept’ in early 2019 to drive innovation into real-time productions, and developing new digital channels.
