I have always had a growing desire to seek those new technologies, challenges and pursuits that drive and stimulate my mind to excel toward making the most from each new task placed before me. I am always asking myself that burning question. How can I do this better than anyone else?To feed my mind I have recently spent time working with teams on highly complex projects for the Royal Australian Airforce. It has allowed me to grow as a manager, project manager, problem solver, technical specialist, planner/scheduler, communicator, but most of all as a person. I value taking things I have learned and using them to improve on what I do in the future, adding new skills, adapting to change and delivering results. Experience has seen me engage with customers, reporting on my teams areas of the project in alignment with the project plan, working with stakeholders to schedule changes and instigate solutions to problems to keep the project on time. Coordinating with other managers to ensure resources are utilised wisely and tasks are sequenced taking into account logistics and priorities. This allowed our team overall to reduce conversion time for the first aircraft from 18 months to just 10 months for the last aircraft.You will always see a smile on my face when working with computers and technology. I have grown a high degree of knowledge in Apple OSX and iOS, Windows and many of their applications. I have often been asked to help co-workers use a feature in Excel or Outlook, fix issues with printers, find lost files, and the list goes on. Helping others has helped me to grow a strong knowledge around computers, designing and building computers, setting up networks, network printers and system troubleshooting.I am always keen to hear from former colleagues, managers and friends, or just interesting and creative people.
