Glenys Oberg is a PhD student and researcher in the School of Education at the University of Queensland, Australia. Before embarking on a career in tertiary education, she spent over twenty years as a classroom teacher. Her current research is focused on the relationships between students and teachers and how these relationships contribute to well-being. Glenys holds postgraduate qualifications in both education and psychology and is particularly fascinated by how these areas intersect. Her publications explore trauma and compassion fatigue in education settings as well as the importance of understanding trauma when working with populations at risk of radicalisation.
