Good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity - Nat Turner. Nat, of course, is correct. The problem is that 'good communication' is not easy. Many people, even those in high level executive roles, often get it wrong because they don't consider the other person when they communicate. Communication is a dominant theme in my life experience. As a young singer with the Queensland Youth Choir I learned how to project my voice to tell a story, how to use my whole body to emote the meaning behind the lyrics I was communicating. Communication isn't just a voice. After high school I gained a Bachelor of Music (Sonology) from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. This is an audio engineering degree and I spent 10 + years helping others to communicate, mostly through the production of musicals, but yet again, I was a tool for productive communication.Today I help the businesses I work with improve their stakeholder communications and messaging. I passionately take on being accountable to get the message across. Whether it be a marketing campaign to inform customers of a new product or service, or a public relations media release; I enjoy the challenge of understanding the recipient of the message and developing a strategy that will build that bridge to clarity.QUT Masters of Business (Marketing) with Distinction 2019.
