As a Full Stack Developer, I was responsible for developing, mantaining, testing and monitoring multiple nation-wide IBM systems, as well as mentoring our interns.My first task was to continue the migration of a legacy monolith Java system to a completely new microservices architecture, utilizing React.js and Node.js. This helped me understand a lot better the microservices concept and our infrastructure, as well as how to monitor multiple services utilizing Red Hat OpenShift container platform.Alongside this migration, I also helped migrate multiple IBM mainframe fiscal systems (PL/1 systems) to the web, always working closely with our clients and understanding their needs and priorities.A completely new experience to me was mentoring the interns. We had sessions to discuss the technologies we used and all of our microservices ecossystem. I would constantly assist and provide feedback for them.

As an intern, I helped mantaining and developing new features for Java | Spring systems, while being mentored by other developers. I was given a task to build a complete new system form the ground-up alongside another intern, while also being mentored by a more senior developer. With this task, I was able to learn a lot about React.js and Node.js, which were stacks that no one in the team was familiar with, so it was a great opportunity to really dive deep in these technologies and take responsability for specific parts of the system. We also kept close contact with our clients, understanding their business needs and translating them to code.
