The intraoral solution has been sold for 600 million euros to Envista.Creation of a new intraoral scanner using the OCT technology (Optical Coherence Tomography). OCT allows seeing inside the enamel of the teeth. I built all the automatic and robust classifications to help dentist interpret the signal (keywords: labeling, classification, deep learning, artificial intelligence, UNet, CNN, tensorflow, caffe 2, jupyter-notebook, python, random forest).Automatic shade measurement. With a patented technology, the CS3700 scanner can detect the color of a tooth during the scan. I wrote all the algorithms, the calibration procedure and the patent (keywords: CIELab, shade matching, BRDF).Calibration of all CBCT machines at Carestream Dental. At first, I had to design a new target and an optimisation strategy of the internal parameters for the CS9600 specifically, because it coordinates the motion of 3 motorized axes. I got a precision better than 50 microns during the scan (previous methods didn't work anymore). Since then, the calibration procedure has been extended to all CBCT devices from the group. Creation of the algorithms and the architecture for the intraoral 3D scanner. I was responsible for the stitching of 3D surfaces, the global optimization, the final mesh generation, sent to the technician to design the dental prosthesis. I got a speed of 10 surfaces stitched per second including on-the-fly corrections.
