UCI Projects is the 3rd largest company within its field in Australia, specialising in the designer focused commercial fit-out industry.My position entails building strong relationships with existing and new clients – clients consisting of architects and designers, builders, project managers and end users – and project managing each job from the initial proposal stage right through to project completion. A large part of account management is the ability to recognize and calculate the correct margins on a case by case basis conditional to the individual client, the project and the current market trend. Due to my Interior design background I have worked on projects for end users producing sketches for space planning, finishes selection for laminates and fabrics, and consulting on furniture selection. UCI has given me great experience in working at a commercial level with an extended, wide-ranging contact base in Melbourne.

YTL Trading is a high end company which specializes in the design, supply, manufacture and install of custom made cabinetry/joinery to multi-residential properties. My key roll as a Business Development Manager is to generate new business and build and maintain strong relationships with builders/clients, project managing each particular job from conception to completion. I am out on the road 2 days a week, web researching and cold calling continuously throughout the week. In addition to this, my role entails a design aspect, as an employee of a joinery company I need to be able to read plans to sketch, design and re-create my designs on 20-20 design software. If a quote is successful I am also required to do measurements on-site and supervise sub-contractors and/or other employees.
