I remain committed to building a cleaner more sustainable future where compassion and empathy towards others, is the norm.However, since formally retiring and only retaining a small portfolio of clients, I have committed to a passion I have held my entire adult life. To be an artisan.I’ve spent my past few retirement years creating various works of art using pen and ink with a watercolor wash along with other media. My passion for art goes back to a time I entered and won an amateur art contest at the age of 9. The prize was a full paid scholarship to a prestigious art school. Unfortunately, my parents and I missed the fine print that stated “…all contestants must be 18 years old or older…”I set aside my passion for art—while adulting, only doing intermittent commission work or for gifting friends and relatives.Once retired, I began dabbling with various art mediums and landed on watercolor paintings of historical buildings in my community and making beaded bracelets, earrings and necklaces—again, for friends, family and periodic commission work.Soon I will begin posting some of my work here on linked in—that I embrace to create a better work life balance. It’s my therapy that helps me relax and clear my mind. Additionally, I will be offering insight on how you can use art, as a breakaway from the everyday hustle and bustle as well.
