Georgia Malone has been an active member of the Australian Arts Industry for over 25 years, with most of that time dedicated to strategic Marketing at some of Australia's most significant contemporary arts organisations. Working in a number of different areas of the industry including festivals, venues and producing companies in both the visual and performing arts, she has developed an extremely comprehensive and broad knowledge of the Industry nationally. Georgia has driven strategy development and planning both leading marketing teams but also looking at whole of organisation strategic planning. Her pragmatic, interpersonal and lateral approach has led to successful campaigns, developing and understanding audiences while continuing to work in a positive and honest manner whilst thriving under pressure. Georgia has collaborated closely with the Board of Directors, creative and development teams to cement strong brand presence; significantly improved the bottom line with sustained growth in audiences and sales; and established leading edge marketing strategies that have put these organisations at the forefront of contemporary marketing practice while consistently achieving key financial and organisational goals.Georgia has an extremely powerful professional network within the arts industry at all levels from independent artists through CEOs of Major Performing Arts Companies and also with key stakeholders including funding bodies, corporations and suppliers on both the East and West coasts Australia.In February 2016, Georgia started her own company, Georgia Malone Consulting Pty Ltd working with arts organisations, artists and corporates on event delivery, marketing strategy and PR. This successful consultancy worked with a wide range of organsations across Australia and officially wrapped up in late 2023.After two years leading in a leadership role at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Georgia now plays an active role in developing strategy in the Communities focus area of Minderoo Foundation.

Marketing ManagerSydney Dance Company Sep 2010 - Mar 2014Sydney, AustraliaI relocated to Sydney in 2010 to undertake the role of Marketing Manager at Australia's leading contemporary dance company. Working closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director my key role is to develop and implement the marketing strategy for the Company's performance seasons, open dance classes and corporate identity. Over the 3 years, we have gone through extensive audience research that has led to the rebranding of the organisation, cementing its position as Australia's leading contemporary dance company, culminating in the full redevelopment of the Company website which was launched in January 2014. Within the first 12 months in this role, the paid attendance to Sydney Dance Company performances increased by 46% and the online engagement with the company through its social media assets has increased exponentially giving SDC one of the strongest online communities in the industry. Other elements of my role including conducting thorough audience research to further grow attendance and engagement with SDC’s performances; managing the digital communications of the organisation through social media and the company website; oversee the workload of the marketing department including the publicist and resident multimedia artist; and work closely with stakeholders and suppliers including design agency, web development agency, printers and advertisers. -
