In this role lead a team of 13 HR professionals across multiple disciplines to support DNV employees in UK and Ireland. As part of the Global Shared Services Business our support includes Benefits and Pensions, Employee Relations, HSE, Payroll and Advisory services.

Working as part of the GSS HR central team I manage HR projects which span our organsiation.I am currently working on a project to update our Talent Acquistion model transforming it into a modern, customer centric and future fit operation.During 2020-2021 we undertook the second phase of our Transition of HR service delivery from Regional to Global centres. We established a second shared service center in Pune, India, transitioning delivery of HR Operations, Comp and Ben, Payroll and Recruitment from 6 locations. We also consolidated Comp and Ben activity for Europe into our Service centre in Gdynia, Poland and established a global centre of excellence for Global Mobility there.

In this role I was responsible for supporting a business community of c1100 staff across 7 business areas in the UK and Ireland in the provision of Compensation, Benefits and Global Mobility services. I led on all compensation processes and had responsibility for managing subject matter specialists in the areas of Pensions and Benefits and Global Mobility. The role also included liaison/coordination with internal business areas, GSS HR colleagues and external suppliers and tax advisors.

As Head of Pay & Benefits I was responsible for the completion of on-going and ad hoc projects in support of the Reward strategy across the Grosvenor Estate with a focus on building employee engagement through pay and benefits.Key responsibilities of the role included:• Supporting the day to day management of reward, benefits, payroll & mobility processes.• Providing advisory support to senior management and HRDs on total compensation package / offers • Overseeing the delivery of the annual pay and bonus cycle, for three key business units (including one which operates internationally).• Managing the Reward and Payroll teams.• Reviewing the design and delivery of benefits and managing the implementation of recommended changes.

In my role as a Senior Manager, I provided consulting support and guidance on Executive Remuneration, Broad Based Reward and Incentive Design matters to clients of a broad range of size, sector, location, ownership and stage of development.

Temporary/interim placement in EY’s internal reward team.Responsibilities include:Salary Review: Project management of the annual salary review process / Configuration salary planning tool (Curo) / Management and control of the data flowing in and out of Curo;Dedicated reward support for own client group: Subject matter expert on all aspects of Reward / Analysis of salary survey and benchmark data / Creating and maintaining pay bands for own client group / Relationship management of key business stakeholdersSupporting the delivery of the reward strategy: Providing SME guidance on design and implementation of any variable pay schemes / Coordinating Reward best practice across the firm / Resource and budget management.

As a Manager in the Total Rewards Team I advised on all matters Executive Compensation, below board and all-employee reward, with a particular focus on FTSE 250 and fast-growth private companies.

My role currently had dual focus in line with the varied business lines at MM &K. In the capacity of Executive Compensation Consultant I was focused on providing reward advice and information to reward professionals and remuneration committees who are tasked with the challenge of rewarding thier top team.As a Survey Manager, together with our partners Grahall Consulting and Holt Private Equity, I was responsible for producing the market leading Private Equity Compensation Report. The Alternative Asset Management Survey covers over 4,000 incumbent from nearly 200 private equity firms across all investment strategies. In association with the survey, MM & K offers private equity reward consulting and pay advice to some of the biggest names in the industry.

As an Information Consultant within the UK Reward Information Services business unit I worked across a range of sectors with a focus on the Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Pharmaceutical industries. Through this role I gained a vast amount of experience in reward benchmarking and job sizing via the Hay Group Job Mapping methodology. During this time, I assisted clients facing a range of reward issues, while building a broad knowledge of reward information practices and service lines. This included work in the areas of total remuneration, reward structure design, benefits packages, international compensation, pay modelling and pay grading.The role also included account management responsibility and I managed national and international relationships for clients such as Procter and Gamble, Astellas, Beam Global, Rexam, BAe Systems, Laing o’Rourke and Lafarge. In this capacity I also provided other adhoc consulting services such as the facilitation of reward information workshops for Rexam’s European and The Americas reward teams.

As a Reward Analyst there were four main aspects to my role:Database managementRemuneration benchmarking projectsClient liaison/managementGeneral industry and client-specific research and report publishingDuring this time I worked closely with clients in the Manufacturing, Defence and Retail Sectors. In addition to the main function of the role I also developed my skills on Microsoft Excel leading to the design of new products and the improvement of processes with new tools. This also included training in a use of VBA based macros.
