Between the 9-5 hustle, soccer practice, and prepping dinner we become oblivious to the vivid colors and wonderful scenes around us. Greg sees the beauty in our area and captures that beauty through his photography. Gregory Locnikar is an FM area native and graduate of Minnesota State University - Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic communications where he took a double emphasis in 3D modeling and digital design and production. During Greg’s time at MSUM, he also took classes in photojournalism and digital storytelling, which lead him into his photography career.Greg loves design in more ways then one, and when he’s not behind the camera he’s behind his computer creating brand identities and advertisements for local businesses. I am on the Light Master Guild's board to help plan and promote events for 2016. Our events are targeted toward professional photographers in the FM and surrounding area, as well as the up and coming photographers that want to start a studio and be seen as a professional. We share tips and tricks and guide you towards becoming a Certified Professional Photographer with PPA.Light Masters Guild is a local chapter of Professional Photographers of America. We are a group of professional photographers that meet up 8+ times a year for workshops, how-to's, competitions and socials. We focus on helping our members through these workshops and monthly meetings by providing them with tips, tricks and experience that they might not find on their own. At the Echo Press I created advertisements for many businesses to be viewed in the paper and other printed media. One of my clients liked a design so much that they recreated it into a billboard. I was able to design covers for several of the Echo's publications. The best project I had was a caricature of a Minnesota radio mogul, that was given to him as a present. I heard that he hangs it proudly in his office.I also took on the duties as an on-call photographer. I would photograph local events and different situations that happened in the area at a moments notice.
