My duties includes implementation of Policies and Procedures that ensure the pharmacy department provides optimal pharmaceutical services that meet all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements. This included following JCAHO standards for our hospitals and surveys and NYS standardards for our nursing home state surveys. It also includes following all State Board of Phramacy regulations and having all licenses and certifications up to date. I also was instrumental in the implementation of automation in our pharmacy. This included Pyxis Machines as well as the software Allscript into one of our facilities for patient profiling and PrimeRX ( Micro Merchant ) for patient billing. I am involved in the budget for most of our pharmacies over the last couple years and monitored the purchasing and expenses through the year. I was directly responsible in helping generate millions of dollars through our 340B contracted pharmacies and our non-340B medication billing for our nursing home.
