I left the Inquirer in January 2007. I had neck surgery. After recovery, I completed certification as an activity director.I LOVE playing music and decided to make my part time job playing music a full time business. I launched Guitar with Gloria on October 22, 2007 and never regretted my decision for a moment!I wake up every morning excited about where I will be playing today. I feel extremely blessed to meet wonderful people each day!

National Winner of Best Practices by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals - Science for Seniors - a monthly column in Creative Forecasting Magazine.I play music and lead sing-a-longs at more the 150 retirement communities, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult day centers, senior community groups, schools, campgrounds and hospice services throughout Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Monroe, Pike, Berks Counties and in the state of Delaware.I bring to each location large print songbooks and hand held jingle sticks to engage all participants in the joy and fun of music!My goal - bringing a smile to your lips and a song to your heart!

I covered a variety of news from local government to crime. What I enjoyed the most was meeting and telling the stories of people with disabilities who succeed against all odds! The power of the press created change for children with autism, found homes for homeless families, raise funds for cancer research. It was a joy to go to work knowing I was a small cog helping connect people who made positive change in the world.I now experience that same joy and excitement every day when I see the way live music impacts lives. I am truly blessed in my work.
