Performing all or some of the following duties in all teaching roles, with varying levels of responsibility: • Teaching Economics, Accounting and Economic and Management Sciences to Grades 10 - 12• Developing and presenting engaging and educational lesson plans, programmes and materials• Developing students’ interests, abilities and coordination through creative activities, guided discussions and classroom supervision• Assessing and moderating curriculum and formal tests• Developing and implementing effective assessment tools• Liaising with colleagues and other key stakeholders to build strong working relationships• Counselling students; meeting with parents to discuss learner performance • Moderating educator and learner portfolios• Organising field trips for students, as well as career development programmes and mentoring workshops • Attending workshops and training programmes organised by the Department of Education as well as managing research projects in both subjects• Developing subject performance improvement plans for Economics and Accounting• Providing intervention strategy programmes for progressed and repeated learners• Data entry and database management, maintaining meticulous records• Producing various reports, presentations, analyses, correspondence and documentation • Performing as a strong member of a cohesive team with strict adherence to health, safety and statutory regulations, service level agreements, quality standards, governance processes and compliance requirements
