Researcher/Writer /Community Systems Builder - My career and educational background reflects my diverse interests - research, writing, storytelling, art/design, human services planning, & community systems building. I have the ability to develop written materials specifically targeted to different audiences on widely contrasting topics that range in scope, from fashion to government - and in tone, from the sentimental to the technical. My articles have been published in a variety of venues including corporate and industry publications and newsletters. I am age agnostic. "Old people are the new cool"​ states such sources as "The Atlantic"​ (July/Aug 2015). (In what other era could a model be "discovered"​ at the age of 60-something? That's no typo - at that age, Jacky O'Shaugnessy was recruited by American Apparel to be a lingerie model!) I'm a Boomer whose voracious reading addiction has led me to the works of Millennials, Lena Dunham, Emily Gould, etc. I watch TV targeted to youth e.g. "Switched At Birth"​ which won me accolades from hearing-impaired youth in a recent focus group - ("You are so cool! "You get us!"​).I've traveled extensively in Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea), and Paris & London. I believe travel helps to understand the world. Not that I do understand the world - but I keep trying - hence my need for relentless researching - an insatiable appetite for continual learning and growing which is ingrained in my DNA. My quest for growing usually involved change which I heartily embrace. Yet, I stayed with my last employer for 19 years! To say that is the longest I have ever worked for one organization is an understatement. Reasons for my staying with this agency this long include my passion for the mission and vision of the CSC, and my respect for the leadership of CEO, Cindy Arenberg Seltzer, from whom I learned the importance and the "how to's" of avoiding duplication of efforts within our community.
