My most recent position is to provide relief work for Meijers. However, I have worked both as a staff pharmacist from 2004 to 2006 and as a pharmacy manager from 2006 to 2012 at various locations in the Detroit area. Since 2012 I have entered into the relief pool. My tasks have included customer service; providing consultation, medication therapy management, drug therapy reviews with both Outcomes and Mirixa platforms, immunizations, and diabetes awareness and as a manager hiring and coaching technicians and fellow pharmacists. On a daily basis, counseling patients on useage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and over-the-counter products is part and parcel of checking prescriptions for accuracy. I provide maintenance of information technology with the pharmacy system, EPS, as well as registers and automation to promote productivity with customers and pharmacy staff. I also supervise accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections.On a daily basis I follow up with medical providers offices to clarify all pertinent parts of prescription processing to ensure filling accuracy and for interactions and allergies as well.
