Director Of Performance Psychology
CurrentSubject matter expert for the Social Science and Psychological Performance domains, under the direction of the Chief Science Officer. Provide performance, cognitive, and operational psychology expertise to policy and structural realignment efforts. Serve as performance psychology SME on mobile multidisciplinary team efforts that examine service member core tasks and identify their operationally-centered performance and health psychological needs, identify gaps, and provide recommendations. Work with targeted Service communities to identify and/or design performance-oriented metrics in line with their mission and Service member’s occupational skillsets. Acts as the team psychological liaison with support agencies, unit leadership, and individual Service Members as a part of HPO/TFF-CBB. Facilitate partnerships with DOD organizations through psychological consultations, training, research, and education. Collaborate internally with CHAMP staff to ensure DoD community engagements informs and enhances education, leadership, and research services. Plan and coordinate Performance Psychology workshops and participates in external working groups as needed. Provide subject matter expertise on externally requested consultations and policy guidance applicable to the subject of Performance Psychology. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop metrics, clinical practice guidelines, and policies for measuring social and psychological health. Align CHAMP’s research portfolio with Social and Psychological Fitness knowledge gaps within military communities and relevant research funding opportunities. Develop and promote curricula on Social and Psychological Fitness and Readiness oriented toward leaders, healthcare providers, service members and their family members, and to support CHAMP educational goals and initiatives.
