As a sought-after mezzo-soprano for over two decades, Gloria Parker has been critically ac-claimed by media such as Opera News, The Washington Post and The New York Times in both contemporary and standard operatic and musical theater repertoire, as well as several roles she created in world premiere. She has performed around the globe in signature roles with companies such as the Hamburg Staatsoper, Vancouver Opera, Teatro Regio Torino, and Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli. Her London debut was as a featured soloist with the Lon-don Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. She has sung with U.S. opera companies such as New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Washington Opera, Seattle Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Florida Grand Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Fort Worth Opera, and Minnesota Opera, among many others. Further concert appearances include Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, St. Louis Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Oklahoma Symphony, Delaware Symphony, American Symphony Orchestra, and festivals such as Caramoor and Bard Summerscape. As an independent marketing professional I provided both full-service and à la Carte qualitative research services. Previously a consultant for Core Strategies, Inc., and WiseWindow, Inc., market research firms located in Irvine, CA I have a strong foundation of hands-on research project management experience and excellent qualitative research skills. As a focus group moderator and ethnographic interviewer I worked with top-level industry giants such as GFK Japan, Honda, Housewarmers, LLC, Sage/ABRA Software, Tide, IOGear, Sony, Hyundai, Belkin, Warner Home Entertainment, Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group among others. Experienced in planning and executing a wide range of qualitative research methodologies, including traditional and online focus groups, bulletin boards, diaries, journaling, IDI's and ethnographies, I conducted qualitative research in the United States and Europe. Possessing advanced degrees in music, as well as professional certification in arts management, she has held adjunct faculty positions at NYU and William Paterson Universities. Gloria is also on the voice faculty at the Mahanaim School in Huntington, Long Island. A RIVA trained moderator, she is an active member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association.
