    Digital Marketing And Content Creation
    Side Hustle Apr 2022 - May 2022
I took this course on 'Digital marketing and Content Creation' because I wanted to know more about them. It really piqued my interest at the time, and of course this happened at a time I wanted to take my content game up a notch.Highlights of the program:- I learnt about the basics of content creation; what it means, how important it is, and even how to go about it- This course opened my eyes to content marketing in ways I cannot tell. I had previously taken a course on content marketing, and because it was basically theory, there really wasn't room to practice. This was different.- I began to see content creation beyond just coming up with content, but creating content that aligns with the goal of the brand. It helped me become a more purposeful writer.- At the time I was taking this course, i was a content writing intern. So I began to apply all that i was learning to my role, and i experienced tremendous results.- We had capstone projects where we had to create a content marketing strategy for an agro-allied company that just launched. I was charged with creating the content calendar, and. of course I committed myself to it, making research with what we've been taught so far and even external resources. It was well detailed and valuable. - We also had another capstone project to create a digital marketing strategy for a fashion brand. I oversaw a large part of this project, and I prepared the presentation through Microsoft PowerPoint. We were graded an A for the superb work we did.- The course gave me a mindset shift, and now I can't seem to see content creation the same way again; I now come from a more holistic approach, strategy, objectives, vision, etc.- Our instructors taught us so well, making it really engaging by telling us real life examples and teaching in a fun way. We were able to even reach out to them beyond the class. I loved it.

I also learnt about User Experience, and how inseparable it is from an optimized product. It is one of the pillars that make a product work, and not just the interface.- I was able to apply what I learnt in the course of the program through capstone projects. We were teamed up to work on projects based on what we learnt, and I was able to bond easily with my teammates. Our synergy and teamwork allowed us achieve amazing results in each of our projects.- My major takeaway from the program was User Experience Writing or Website copywriting. I was able to combine my background in copywriting with the knowledge I gained in writing copies that are useful, and are instrumental in creating optimized products.- Today, as a User Experience Writer, I communicate with designers and other members of the product team in a familiar language, while we work seamlessly.I write copies that appeal to the product user, using clear and simple language, without compromising the quality or the message I intend to pass across.
