- I started my tech journey at Chevron Nigeria Limited in 2019, where I worked as an IT Operations intern. The job involved working with Microsoft Software -- PowerApps, SharePoint, Forms, Flow and Excel -- and on one occasion, I needed to format an e-mail with HTML and CSS; this is what got me into programming.- After this Internship, I was 100% sure I will dive deeper into web development and programming in general: I had the passion to study and implement codes.- I knew a good amount of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I was fortunate to work with my mentor as a Ruby on Rails trainee, this role exposed me to back-end development -- MVC framework, databases, TDD, etc. During this trainee-ship, I applied for another internship at Reachzone, I was told to build a to-do application as an entry requirement using React and Firebase -- these were two different platforms that I had never worked with, I went ahead to study React -- react-router, props, hooks, context API, etc as well as Firebase features that allowed me to authenticate users and store their lists and tasks in the cloud firestore.- Lastly, I worked as an Application Development and Support trainee at ipNX Nigeria Limited as part of my mandatory service year. This role helped me develop a customer-oriented mindset as I was responsible for managing and resolving customer complaints that came in the form of tickets. I studied PHP and MySQL to enable me build business applications and implement features in existing applications according to customers' requirements.- Overall, I have worked with several teams using HTML, CSS, Responsive design, JavaScript, Git, Ruby, a bit of React, PHP and MySQL. I am currently aspiring to be a front-end developer and I am starting this journey with Vue JavaScript. I am also learning TypeScript, Jest and SCSS.- I have also gained other skills like time management and prioritization, team collaboration, customer experience orientation, continuous learning, discipline, patience, integrity, and problem-solving.

I.T Operations InternChevron Jul 2019 - Dec 2019NigeriaMy jobs were to:- Build business applications for different departments in the company, and I accomplished this with the low-code no-code software: Microsoft PowerApps. And I was a coordinator in a hackathon where workers in another department learnt how to use MS PowerApps.- Organize company files and created professional web pages for my department and other departments using Microsoft SharePoint.- Create automated workflows using Microsoft Flow: I automated processes linked to MS PowerApps for example: when a user submits an MS PowerApps form, he/she should recieve a mail from MS Outlook, and then if he's/she's supervisor approves then the person can be given access to what he/she is asking for.- Modified an old Excel Spreadsheet for budget management: I created columns that hold calculated numbers, duplicated the spreadsheet, the first for calculations and the second for calculation summary.
