The Urpina agrosocial project of the Ampans Foundation is a wonderful project, full of enthusiasm, potential and a team of people who work to unite the corporate community with the social sector by offering spaces in privileged natural environments where they can come to work and learn. Sorprendentemente, muy pocos habitantes del mundo tienen conocimiento acerca de tan particular ecosistema y, tristemente, esto incluye a los propios habitantes de la zona. Hay una gran falta de conocimiento y conciencia sobre la ecología y biología del CELLS. Al mismo tiempo la creciente destrucción de los hábitats naturales, de la mano de pequeñas comunidades que tratan de sustentarse y de grandes compañías que causan igual impacto sobre estos entornos, está poniendo en riesgo el futuro de la rica biodiversidad y recursos naturales de la zona.Fundación Fauna de la Amazonía trabaja dentro del CELLS y nuestro proyecto se basa en poner en marcha mecanismos efectivos e innovadores que permitan a las comunidades conservar sus bosques y la biodiversidad que albergan, y al mismo tiempo satisfacer algunas de sus prioridades de desarrollo (educación, salud, generación de ingresos).
