CurrentJanuary to June 2021, August 2022 to present- Lead and facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to assist management in the elimination of systemic barriers by ensuring compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and provincial and federal regulations and legislation.- Contribute to strategic planning and program and policy development that respond to and reflect the diverse needs and priorities of employees and the community.- Support corporate and departmental diversity and inclusion initiatives from concept to implementation.- Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to diversity and inclusion plans, programs, and services that promote a respectful and inclusive workplace and a workforce that is representative of the people it serves.- Research, report on, and analyze the organization's diversity-related workforce and training data to identify trends, interpret assessment results, and convert findings into action plans for various initiatives.- Advise and deliver coaching to senior leadership, human resources staff, key stakeholders, and all employees to embed diversity and inclusion principles and practices into the organization’s activities and encourage cultural change.- Consult and coordinate with internal stakeholder groups and external community partners on projects.- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to all levels within the organization and with representatives of community groups and organizations.- Provide comprehensive information on diversity, inclusion, equity, and human rights to diverse audiences.- Display sensitivity, understanding, and commitment to human rights, discrimination, equity, and Reconciliation issues.- Co-founder and co-lead of the Asian Heritage Affinity Group, member of the Diverse Employees Network and women.net Affinity Groups.
