Watertown Academy Trust was the first primary academy trust in Wakefield.I led the development of the school improvement function for the trust from its' inception through to the point it extended into Barnsley, taking in two different RSC offices.

I led the development of a new school led, school improvement service for Wakefield schools. "We are Wakefield school leaders taking the improvement of our schools into our own hands. If we are part of a self-improving partnership of schools, at different levels and sizes, and we have trusted peer support when we need it, backed up by trusted advisory consultants when we need it, then we will be empowered. And that is what we see the purpose of this organization to be, the empowerment of us as school leaders."
