Implementation, maintenance and auditing of the Safety Management System, ISO 14001:2015 EMS and security plan. Providing advice, training and practical assistance for all departments to ensure that the Company’s HSSE management systems are implemented correctly and completely. Ensuring that HSSE standards are maintained through proactive and reactive auditing, investigation and effective corrective action. Monitoring external legislation, ACOP’s and guidance. Completion and implementation of the annual HSSE audit plans. Investigating incidents, accidents and excursions, reporting and recommending corrective actions. Updating and recommending changes to HSSE Procedures. Implementation and management of a risk reduction programme through the use of risk assessments and training. Completion and updating of operating procedures, liasing with project department and operations in the change process. Delivering induction and ongoing safety training. Port Facility Security Officer. Direct reporting function to the Board for all aspects of the position. Liaison with outside bodies such as local and regional emergency responders, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Resiliance forums, HSE, MAIB. Chair of the on site Safety Committee.

Implementation and management of a risk reduction programme through the use of risk assessments and training. Completion and updating of operating procedures, liasing with project department and operations in the change process. Delivering induction and ongoing safety training. Company nominated Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser, Dangerous Goods Security Adviser and Radiological Protection Superviser.

Fitting out new craft from mould stage to completion. Demonstrating craft to prospective customers within factory and afloat. Assisting in development of new craft designs and modification to existing designs.
