I founded, and continue to participate in the maintenance of, the Twisted event-driven networking engine in Python. Over its lifetime, Twisted has received more than 7 million downloads, and is used by hundreds of projects and companies worldwide.

At Rackspace, my responsibilities include:- cross-functional architectural advice to many teams- open source research and development including ongoing maintenance of libraries that I maintain, such as Twisted- introducing a plugin system and open source infrastructure, such as continuous integration, to the Mimic project.

At Apple, I worked on iCal Server and Calendar Server . My responsibilities included transitioning from a flat-file based storage system to one based on a multi-vendor SQL database backend, as well as addressing scalability issues.

At Divmod, I was responsible for running engineering; including platform infrastructure architecture, application architecture, continuous integration, process engineering, and application feature delivery. Our applications included hosted webmail, internet telephony, "lifestream"-style feed aggregation, blogging software, and a general-purpose web.

US

At Ninjaneering, I worked on the networking and backend for our prototype game engine. I also worked as a consultant on a team advising several high-profile massively multiplayer online games on technology selection and information security.

On the (unfortunately, ultimately failed) Ultima Online 2 project, I implemented several subsystems, including a chat system and an atomic secure player trading system.
