Over the last few years, my goals, aspirations and role in life have changed so dramatically. Individual to Family. Contractor to Global CEO. Young to “Older”. Speak to listen. Company to Community. Growth to Significance. Top of mind, purpose kind of stuff has woven through so much of my actions. As I've evolved, I've also started to recognise my own hippocracy, I attempt to tackle this one discovery at a time. I approach it with a little bit of fear and a great deal of optimism. I truly believe that the only thing we truly spend in life is time. I have found this to be a paradigm shift in my thinking. I am working to change the word "spend" to "invest" in my mind to further this exploration. Such a simple shift has already had a profound impact on me. Over the course of the last twelve years, I've invested my time relentlessly to build Traction on Demand into something more than a company, something people want to belong to, something that deserves their time. As an entrepreneur, I am well aware of the importance of diversity in thought, the power of trust, and scale niesmomentum can create. It's my hope that Traction on Demand evolves to a community of compa, with a common set of values and purpose, expressed in ways well beyond the limits of my creativity. We've proven that a services company can launch new, innovative and even disruptive companies as it also continues to disrupt itself. We've proven you can do good, and run a good business. We tapered the offering down to 3 categories from 50, focussed only on large distis and made the min order size a container. Norco USA hit it's first profitable year - that year. (I did this while attending SFU Business, mornings 6am - 2pm) it was awesome.
