Vortex Edge microservices are typically implemented in either C++ or Java and communicate using ADLINK’s DDS middleware.In addition to developing microservices for the Vortex Edge platform I also provide support to the sales team and partner companies.

The Spectra product line focuses on the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) specification, which is published by the US Department of Defense Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC).Products worked on included Spectra ORB, Spectra Core Framework, the Spectra CX Modelling tool and the Spectra DTP4700 SDR development and test platform. I gained experience in developing software in C and C++ for deployment on various real time embedded operating systems such as Linux, VxWorks and Integrity.During this period, I also became involved in the provision of various professional services to PrismTech’s customers. These services ranged from custom development work to the provision of consultancy and training to end users in locations around the world. -

We developed a new modelling tool for OpenSplice DDS, an implementation of the OMG’s Data Distribution Service specification.Working on PrismTech’s modelling tools I gained experience in developing plug-ins for the Eclipse platform using the Java programming language. As part of this work I have developed GUI components such as editors and wizards using the SWT graphical toolkit and have worked on internal meta-models for the various tools using the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF). I have also worked on Java, C and C++ code generators for various modelling tools.
