Comprised of a team of six urban designers, the UDC was created to advance the quality of the built environment, foster public awareness, and communicate the importance of urban design to our city. We reveal how design influences our quality of life and economic resilience. We advocate for great places in a livable City of Charlotte. Responsible for directing conducting complex corridor studies, streetscapes, public realm design solutions, built form studies, design guidelines and public-private partnerships. Adept at conducting a wide range of civic engagement techniques, including: charrettes, lecture series, conferences, public presentations, mobile workshops and tactical urbanism interventions. As a member of the departmental leadership team he contributed to: interdepartmental collaboration, MSD collaboration and support, University collaboration and internship program, capital Improvement program planning, division budget creation and budget management.
