I am on a mission to bring robust and reliable AI/ML solutions to the real world, with a focus on increasing the resilience and tackling the complexity of critical systems and environments.I work across scientific disciplines (climate science, biology, energy, biology, geology) and industries (aerospace, medtech, healthcare, IT) in an attempt to make our society more resilient to the systemic threats that we face: climate change, natural hazards, energy transition, and cybercrime.I am particularly interested in computational methods at the intersection of machine learning, numerical simulations, and probabilistic modeling, which are key to enabling scalable, explainable, and trustworthy models.Some highlights of my career are:🤖 𝗔𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: I pioneered AI/ML at Cisco with 4 flagship products at the intersection of AI and large-scale software and distributed systems, e.g., cybersecurity, enterprise networks, and the Internet. Portfolio of 5000+ enterprise customers, including many Fortune 50/500. 🚀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: I hired more than 50 engineers into Cisco, across 3 engineering teams built from the ground up, and multiple disciplines: data engineering, machine learning, cloud, backend, and frontend.💡 𝗥&𝗗 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 200+ granted patents (80 pending) in the area of machine learning, networking, cybersecurity and distributed systems.
