In this role as Account and Project Manager I am located on site at one of Janoschka’s major customers in the FMCG sector, where I am their point of contact before, during, and after relaunches of major brands in their portfolio. I am managing projects technically and operationally from supplied design files to printed packaging. Representing Janoschka’s main office at the client site comes with various aspects. The first aspect is direct customer contact in the form advising in the design phase, performing training on print techniques (Flexo, Rotogravure, Offset / Litho ) and the impact this has on the ideas and designs for groups of marketers, consulting on any print or print related subject, and attending the first productions at print facilities all over Europe. Next to this my role is also managing the customers’ projects in the backoffice in Germany, both on the operational as well as on the technical side of the project.

As an Artwork Production Specialist located in the Unilever Media Hub in Rotterdam I was responsible for coordinating packaging artwork from first design concept to technically reproducible print separations. Here I had to gather and channel information and briefing from all disciplines inside the Unilever structure, such as local and regional marketing teams, supply chain teams, procurement, food technologists, and legal teams and liaise with various external parties, such as Print Management Agencies, Design Agencies and Printers to guide the full process into printed packaging. One of the key activities in this role was simply aligning many internal and external stakeholders on mainly content, design and timings.

During my work as Pre Press Order Coordinator I was a member of the pre press team, responsible for directing, organizing and controlling the project activities needed for a successful (re)launch. This included commercial activities such as attending client kick-off meetings, arranging client approvals on both proofcans and country artworks, tracking and managing artwork workflows after setting the standard for the initial relaunch, and communicating relevant project information to both the client and the project team. Clients were leading companies such as Beiersdorf, Unilever, L'Oréal, P&G and their graphic design agencies. A few examples of these projects are:► Relaunch of the Nivea female deodorant spray range for Beiersdorf at Ardagh.► Relaunch of the female Garnier Mineral deodorant spray range for L'Oréal at Ardagh.With and without input from the part time education I communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and developing this attitude in others. Examples of these projects are:► The idea and technical implementation of a consumption and stock system for the ink supply by creating and connecting an easy to use Excel application to the ERP system at Ardagh.► Writing a research report and implementation plan to improve the quality of first productions at Ardagh.

This included colour separation, digital proofing, proofing on cans, coordination of country artworks and production preparation.
