Also, filing VAT returns, assisting with payroll, involvement with internal and external audit, preparing management account packs for customers and attending periodic client review meetings, representing the Finance department of Pharmexx.I have recently been involved in preparing cost models for contract extensions with existing clients before our BD team go to pitch.I have identified where there may be room for process improvement and worked with the owners of the process to develop new solutions that enable efficiency savings and improved accuracy through use of Excel by removing repetitive actions to reduce input errors and automate formulae. The real challenge of this is to get the "buy-in" of the process owners to change their current working practices and help them to understand what is actually happening.

I started working as a Project Accountant on an interim basis, as maternity cover, providing support for two areas of the business. Since July 2013, I have taken a Project Accountant role on a permanent basis for a different area of the business.The role involves month-end accruals, reconciliations and profit recognition processes, production of monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasting, and attendance of financial and commercial meetings. Other ad-hoc duties arise as and when, many of which are queries as to why something has happened or producing reports from data that can be used by the operational team to improve performance. I am also responsible for liaising with our Irish auditors and preparing and filing Irish VAT and RCT tax returns.
