The iPersist program mentors first year students in freshman level classes. As an undergraduate data analyst I create visual aids, tableau/dashboards to display trends and deliver pertinent information regarding the health of the organization, exam grades and averages across professors and lecture sections in the form of graphs, and an easy to navigate user interfaces.

Helped develop lesson plan and agenda for summer academic program targeted to high school students with Dr. Alexander Ma and team of 3 other students. The summer program is an introduction to 3D printing and engineering concepts with a focus in chemistry, art, teamwork and diversity. The program’s pilot year is scheduled for summer 2018.Software used in the development of student activities include: NX, SolidWorks, AutoCad, ReplicatorG

Assists with CHEM 1100/1110 and CHEM 1200. Tasks include, printing exams/worksheets, grading, and experimental demonstrations in lecture halls of about 300 students.

Built working prototype of temporary removable door lock based on basic engineering design principles with a group of 7 students of various engineering backgrounds. Successfully created a user interface web application using HTML and CSS and a functional online data base to act as a cloud connecting temporary door lock, the user and the web application. Co-authored and edited an extensively detailed report outlining the entire engineering design process for the 5 month project

Member of the first successful RPI iGEM team. I was part of the chemistry and culturing committee where we conducted experiments to improve medium-chain sophorolipid production using PRC mutagenesis to knockout the MFE-2 gene in yeast strain, Candida bombicola. Our team won a bronze medal at the 2017 iGEM Giant Jamboree.

Worked under Dr. Sarah Creel. Her lab investigates language development, word recognition and music perception in monolingual and multilingual children and adults. I helped conduct studies where eye movements are tracked and used to determine how long a person is considering certain options.

This internship was part of the Continuing Umbrella for Research Experiences (CURE) program, where I worked alongside and shadowed medical researchers conducting studies in diabetes, heart disease and aging with animals such as fish, flies and worms.
