I Worked in WIPRO Technologies’ IMG division, in a 24/7 Remote support Center with 30 members that were working from Wipro’s Head/Brach offices located throughout India. IMG, the IT Management Group is the in-house group providing support in the areas of computer hardware, Network infrastructure (Data, Voice and Video) Management, Network Security and Email System. IMG caters to the computing and connectivity needs of Wipro Technologies’ offices spread across India, US, UK and Japan.

Worked as Technical consultant at our client company in Germany (Hamburg) for 2 months, Dec 2000 to Jan 2001. Worked as Systems Admin in Bangalore office for the remaining 5 months.

 Configuration and maintenance of 2 dedicated High-End IIS (Windows NT 4.0), Apache (SOLARIS 2.6) web servers & MySQL, SQL Server databases. Registration of domains for our company and clients.  Implementation of POP3, SMTP Mail Server (MailMax 3.0) on NT web server. Internet connectivity using proxy for 40 computers (NT, Win9x) through dialup, ISDN and Dedicated lines. Implementation of NT Domain on the network with file/user level security & centralized/secured backup solution.

 Handled four batches of 30 students/batch and trained them on C++, Sybase, SQL Server, Ms-office, NT and Unix. Maintained the machine room with 60 computers that were running on Windows and Unix Network. Helped students in completing their machine room exercises and projects/assignments on Sybase, C++, and UNIX programming.
