Requirements (proces) improvement assignment based on oilstain extension. Multiple projects were started to implement and support the core business of smart-metering for the dutch energy-grids. Each of them in need of a supported business requirements horizon and every single one delivering a piece of that horizon. In the end, the business needed one set of maintained requirements to minimize the impact of changes in sector rules and government regulations.

An energy grid operator needed to do a European tender for the implementation of their central systems, so they could rollout and manage their smart meter environment. In order to do this the right way, they needed guidance to determine the requirements / the knock-outs and how to translate these to questions, on which the awarding could take place.
