The focus of my work has been people, and the bridges that connect them to each other and technology in the world of network security. It stems from a multi-cultural childhood that led to empathizing with others' challenges and figuring out how to help. On a typical work day you will find me looking to find the common ground. I actively listen to customers and colleagues in order to understand their motivations and goals. I offer suggestions on how to empathize with others when I see a mismatch in intention and outcomes.People often expect leaders to be the ones dreaming up ideas and telling people what to do. I have chosen a different path where I set aside my ego, and facilitate outcomes based on a wider set of perspectives.I like to look for the mystery in the world, and that comes in many forms: traveling, both locally on bicycle, and by planes, trains, and automobiles; creating, appreciating, and supporting art; and finally, sharing what I've learned via mentorship and coaching.
