I support Redfin's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team, leveraging internal people data to inform DEI goals and programs, including the following responsibilities:• Leading deep-dive DEI analyses, including hypothesis testing and recommendation development.• Developing and maintain DEI reporting infrastructure, including Redshift views and Tableau visualizations.• Creating company-wide guidelines for DEI data definitions, use cases, and analytic standards.

I supported the Washington State Initiative and U.S. Program Office of the President with data analysis, visualization, and sense-making on education data, including:• Analyzing data and engineering data pipelines to support strategic investments in U.S. education, as well as cross-division projects on COVID-related learning loss and P-16 indicators.• Developing frameworks to contextualize academic outcome data and school quality, to support decision-making by program officers and senior leadership.• User-testing internal CKAN-based data-sharing and cataloguing platform, and contributing to R API for data processing.

As a Technical Manager and Engineer at IHME, I managed software planning, development, and implementation to improve the performance of computational research methods. I empowered users to produce high-caliber scientific results by implementing code base improvements across projects, developing systematized functions and processes within complex analyses, and integrating regularly-generated diagnostics into research workflows. These projects included: • Refactoring complex analytic processes to improve efficiency and scalability.• Developing a suite of interactive visualization dashboards to enable researchers to vet and compare model results.• Optimizing the design of MySQL databases to store results and track iterative modeling processes.• Managing the institutional use of Docker and Singularity for high-performance containerized computing.• Leading trainings on programming packages such as R's data.table and shiny to over 50 analysts and researchers.

At IHME, I improved estimation models for cardiovascular disease, HIV mortality, and adult mortality for the Global Burden of Disease 2013 and 2015 studies, resulting in over 20 co-authored peer-reviewed publications.I worked across analytical roles, including processing disease and mortality data (Demographic and Health Surveys, Vital Registration, published literature, etc.), updating statistical models (linear regression, space-time residual smoothing, Gaussian process regression), and vetting and presenting results (data visualization, outlier identification). Through this work, I developed strong programming skills in both Stata and R, and familiarity querying and uploading data into SQL databases. • Optimized adult and HIV mortality models for the Global Burden of Disease 2015 (GBD2015).• Created a shared code library to support standardized computation of demographic estimates in GBD2015.• Designed scenario analyses of risk factors and diseases to estimate premature cardiovascular deaths in 2025. • Supported the estimation of cardiovascular disease burden for the GBD2013 study.• Taught coding practices to colleagues and improved tracking and documentation of computational processes.

At Innovations for Scaling Impact (iScale), I provided programmatic support for iScale's work related to the Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT), a multistakeholder initiative committed to advancing improvements on fiscal transparency, participation, and accountability in countries around the world. In addition, I managed iScale's accounting and financial tracking systems, assuming significant responsibility for accurate financial reporting and projections. • Maintained and optimized accounting, financial tracking, and expense reporting systems, resulting in improved documentation and tracking systems.• Supported coordination and development of the Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT), a multistakeholder initiative involving the World Bank and IMF, the International Budget Partnership, and the government of Brazil• Researched and created case study and presentation documents for iScale's Impacts Community of Practice (ICoP) and GIFT

As an AmeriCorps advisor for College Access Now at Roosevelt High School, I launched the entire college preparation/access program at Roosevelt for junior students. CAN aims to empower students from low-income families to access, enroll, and graduate from college at rates equal to their more advantaged peers. As a Junior Advisor, I recruited a cohort of 29 low-income students into our program, developed curriculum for afterschool programs, and assisted students with test preparation, personal statement writing, and job applications.• Launched CAN's junior program at Roosevelt High School• Designed and led weekly CAN sessions for 29 juniors, including test preparation and personal statement workshops
