Served as the Executive Officer and second in command for a 165-man Stryker Brigade Combat Team Rifle Company. Responsible for all company training resources, logistical support, maintenance, supply accountability, physical security and administration of the entire company.

Kandahar, Afghanistan

I was the Reconnaissance Platoon Leader for the first 5 months of the rotation to Afghanistan. I was responsible for a 10-man team that provided real-time intelligence to the Battalion Headquarters. During this period I graduated from Officer Candidate School as the Military Distinguished Graduate and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. I successfully completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course in which I was named to the Commandant's List. Additionally, I completed the US Army Airborne School and the US Army's Ranger School.

Newport, Rhode Island

Responsible for prospecting, contacting, interviewing and processing qualified applicants for enlistment in the US Army. During this period I was the top recruiter within the company for 8 consecutive months.

During this period I was a competitive Greco-Roman wrestler for the World Class Athlete Program. Among my accomplishments, I was a US National Champion in 1999 and 2002 and was named to the National Team for 8 consecutive years. I was an Olympic alternate in 2000 and won 9 Armed Forces Titles.
