Commander of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) Detachment, comprised of eight elite training locations across the United States. Responsible for the readiness, training, morale, welfare, safety and professional development of 80 highly trained and special selected Soldiers as they represent our Army and Nation in 15 Olympic and Paralympic Sports and Disciplines as they compete in national, international and Olympic competitions. Responsible for leading, training, and resourcing WCAP based on priorities. Develop and manage an operating budget of over $1.2M. Establish, maintain, and enforce discipline and standards; and provide support to Soldiers' Families. Promote public confidence, pride, and interest of the U.S. Army by creating advocacy and support through active involvement with communities across the United States and publicizing the achievements of the WCAP and the Soldier-athletes.

Fort Carson, Colorado

Served as the Executive Officer for an 88-man Special Forces Company consisting of six Special Forces Operational Detachments-Alpha and on Special Forces Operational Detachment-Bravo. Responsible for the daily oversight of the company and for logistical, administrative, and training support for the Operational Detachments-Alpha. Supervised all company supply and budgetary actions. Maintained proficiency in individual combat skills and assigned foreign language. Functioned as the Advance Operating Base director during wartime and operational deployments.

Fort Carson, Colorado

Commander of a Special Forces Operational Detachment-Alpha (ODA) consisting of ten specially trained Noncommissioned Officers and two Officers. Prepared my detachment for short notice deployments to conduct Special Operations in support of US objectives during peace, conflict and war. Primary missions included Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense and Special Reconnaissance. Accountable for over $750,000 of property and equipment. Developed and mentored a Special Forces Master Sergeant and Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer. Overall responsible for mission accomplishment, command and control, communications, reporting, training, discipline, morale and welfare of all the Detachment's Soldiers, and maintaining proficiency in assigned foreign language of French.

This period of time was the qualification process to become a Green Beret. The focus was primarily geared towards interacting and negotiating with people and cultures, planning and executing a myriad of operations, language training, joint/interagency operations, and all facets of unconventional warfare.

Fort Benning, Georgia

This period of time was focused on learning the skills required to command an Infantry Company. The bulk of the instruction dealt with the construction of a company level operations order.

Fort Lewis, Washington

Served as the Executive Officer and second in command for a 165-man Stryker Brigade Combat Team Rifle Company. Responsible for all company training resources, logistical support, maintenance, supply accountability, physical security and administration of the entire company.

Kandahar, Afghanistan

I was the Reconnaissance Platoon Leader for the first 5 months of the rotation to Afghanistan. I was responsible for a 10-man team that provided real-time intelligence to the Battalion Headquarters. The platoon executed more patrols than any other element within the battalion. The seven months as the Company Executive Officer focused primarily on resourcing and constructing a Company-level outpost.

Fort Lewis, Washington

Platoon Leader for a 46-man Stryker Brigade Combat Team Rifle Platoon, consisting of three rifle squads, a weapons squad, and four Infantry Assault Vehicles. Responsible for the training and tactical employment of the platoon in full spectrum operations. Responsible for mastering new weapons and equipment to include digitized command and control systems. Responsible for the combat readiness, physical fitness, health, welfare, morale conduct and force protection of the platoon and the well being of their families. Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of vehicles and organizational equipment valued in excess of $2 million.

Fort Benning, Georgia

During this period I graduated from Officer Candidate School as the Military Distinguished Graduate and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. I successfully completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course in which I was named to the Commandant's List. Additionally, I completed the US Army Airborne School and the US Army's Ranger School.

Newport, Rhode Island

Responsible for prospecting, contacting, interviewing and processing qualified applicants for enlistment in the US Army. During this period I was the top recruiter within the company for 8 consecutive months.

Fort Carson, Colorado

During this period I was a competitive Greco-Roman wrestler for the World Class Athlete Program. Among my accomplishments, I was a US National Champion in 1999 and 2002 and was named to the National Team for 8 consecutive years. I was an Olympic alternate in 2000 and won 9 Armed Forces Titles.
