Gilles manages the projects at Almédia and works by combining expertises in professional training, game design, and user-centered development.Beginning his studies in computer programming in 2002, he soon realized that lines of code could not fill his entire nights. Thus he tended to spend a little more time to design projects instead of just developing them roughly, before graduating in 2004.At this time he seized the opportunity to explore new countries with an Erasmus program. Discovering the British culture that marked his stomach as much as his musical playlist, he spent three years in England in which he strengthened his skills in video game design. And his knowledge of video games through what he called then "intensive game design analysis sessions".Graduating from the University of Teesside in 2007, back in France Gilles spent a good year as a video game salesman and took the opportunity to learn about the then-emerging serious games. With his associates he founded the company Almédia in 2009. His profile between technical and artistic allows him to coordinate the different skills necessary for the development of the company's products: serious games, scripted e-learning, interactive 360 and 3D virtual or augmented reality, interactive card games and escape games.Throughout the 2010s and the 2020s, in parallel with Almédia, he participated in numerous short game jam projects and game projects, while co-authoring two scientific articles on the representation of the city in video games and language learning with this medium.
