I was working with Hindustan Zinc Ltd(Vedanta plc.) for 36 year and retired as Associate Vice President in Dec.08. I have handled following assignments while working at different levels in the organization.• After retirement I was on assignment as Technical Advisor to all hydro and pyro smelters. • Assignment at the time of retirement was as AVP-Location Head Zinc Smelter,Debari, Udaipur (Nov.2001-Dec.2007).The capacity of hydro plant was 80,000MT/year zinc. • I was heading the operations at Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter Chittorgarh Rajasthan for three years.The capacity of plant was 70,000MT zinc and 30,000MT lead by ISPL process. During this period capacity was increased by improvement, debottle necking projects. • I was also Head Operations at Vizag Zinc Smelter Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).The smelter has capacity of 50,000M.T/year. I was head of operation at Zinc Smelter Debari.During this period production stabilization and improvementof operation done• I was responsible for Erection, Commissioning and Operation of Sinter, Acid, ETP and Cadmium Plants at Chanderiya lead zinc Smelter; Chittorgarh • I was associated with Erection, Commissioning and Operation of expansion project of Zinc Smelter Debari. The residue treatment plant &silver recovery plant under this project were successfully commissioned, operated and stabilized. • I was associated with project work of Zinc Smelter Vishakhapatanam.Specialties: Exprience as Location head of zinc hydro smelter.
