I worked to improve financial performance and better organize the business. • Discovered over-billing by vendor, resulting in credit of just over $4800 • Negotiated reduced rate for year-long advertising on industry website (13 months for price of 10) and received commitments/checks from vendors to help offset that cost by more than 50% • Reorganized QuickBooks accounting system to better track spending and sales, less “miscellaneous” • Instituted weekly financial health check for better visibility of company financialsHired by owner with goal of instituting organizational change, restructuring financial aspects for clearer business understanding, and growing the business over 5-7 years with owner desiring to sell at that time. Small family business, where other members of family weren't as keen to change, hence the short stay.
